Li Bing took me on a tour of Heshun village -- it is the most wealthy "suburb" of Tengchong, and is quartered of into 5 sections, corresponding to the five extended families that live here.  This is the view from the pagoda at the top of the hill between Tengchong and Heshun.

A view from next to a vegetable garden... notice the bamboo tower in the middle -- that's a children's swing. The little white blip on the hill is the pagoda over look, and Tengchong is behind the hill.

Another view, you see walls like this all over the place. Walls generally don't  have windows, so light in a home generally comes in from a small open courtyard behind the wall.

A typical street scene -- it's a quiet place.  Though a lot of people are up at the temple for a festival today.

The scene at the temple gate. Live orchestra, delicious vegetarian cuisine, and Mah Jong tables set up inside.

A view over the town from the temple.
